Soccer Shots is held at childcare centers, preschools and schools, as well as public locations. Our public programs are open to the general public while our childcare center and school programs are only open to those enrolled at the location.
Soccer Shots provides all of the equipment needed at each of our sessions. Your child should wear activity-appropriate clothing. Cleats and shin guards are NOT necessary.
To find public programs in your area, select Enroll Now at the top of this page.
Yes! We are always willing to start a public program near you. The easiest way for this to happen is for you to form a group of eight children willing to take part in a Soccer Shots season. These could be children from your neighborhood, friends from church or synagogue, or your parent groups. We're happy to help talk through ideas on how to make this happen. Please contact your local director for more information.
Our weekly 30-40 minute sessions focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing and shooting. Through fun games and positive reinforcement, children will begin to experience the joy of playing soccer and being active. We also highlight a positive character trait each session such as respect, teamwork and appreciation.
Soccer Shots attempts to make up all missed sessions during the course of a season. We will either add an additional week to the season or choose a make-up day.
In the case of inclement weather, Soccer Shots will notify you of any cancelations and make up sessions. We generally try to notify you of cancelations at least 2 hours before the start of the session.
Our franchise (Southwest Connecticut) covers all of Fairfield County, southern New Haven County, and southern Middlesex County (see map).
Nope! The enrollment fee is only paid once every 340 days, regardless of how many seasons you sign up for in that timeframe. It covers the cost of your child’s official Soccer Shots jersey (mailed to your home), administrative needs, background checks for coaches, seasonal prizes, and more. This fee is non-refundable.
Yes! When you pay the annual enrollment fee, your child will receive a Soccer Shots youth jersey, shipped directly to your home. We’ll send tracking info when it ships. Please note: Jerseys are shipped once per year per child. Enroll early—if you register within 2 weeks of a season’s start, your jersey may arrive after the first session. Need a different size? Contact: [email protected] Jerseys are not included in birthday parties, Free Fun Days, demos, or school-paid programs.
If your child is walking confidently, curious, and able to follow simple directions, they’re ready for Soccer Shots! Our curriculum is designed around child development, not soccer mastery. We focus on fun, character-building, and age-appropriate activities—not competition or perfection.
Not at all! Many of our players are brand new to soccer—and that’s perfect. We focus on building basic motor skills, social development, and fun. Your child’s only job is to show up ready to move and smile.
We do not offer trial classes, but you can always contact us to talk through your child’s fit and what to expect. Most children warm up after just a session or two!
Mini (Age 2) - Required Active Participation: This is a parent-and-me style program. A grown-up is required to participate alongside the child throughout the session. Classic (Ages 3–4) - Support as Needed, Goal is Independence: Our goal is for children to participate independently by the end of the season—but we know every child is different. Most parents start by offering encouragement on the field and gradually move to the sidelines. Premier (Ages 5+) - Sideline Support Only: At this stage, children generally participate on their own. Parents are encouraged to stay and cheer from the sidelines.
No. For public park sessions, a grown-up must remain onsite during the session.
That’s totally normal—especially for younger children! Our coaches are trained to gently encourage participation and create a welcoming environment. Many children warm up after a few sessions.
If unsafe weather is expected, we’ll: Email you (and text if it’s <1 hour before class). Aim to notify you at least 1 hour in advance, though forecasts can change quickly. We do play in light rain, but not in storms or dangerous conditions.
Yes. For outdoor public programs: We pre-schedule two makeup dates before the season begins. We guarantee up to 2 makeups for an 8-week season, and 1 for shorter sessions. Makeups may be on different days or times. If those dates don’t work, you may request to attend a different session at another location (space permitting).
While we can’t offer credits for absences, we may be able to help. If your child misses a session, contact us to see if a make-up session is available at another time or location. This does not apply to the final session of the season.
14+ days before season starts: Refund minus $35 processing fee. Less than 14 days before season starts: Full credit. After season begins but before week 3: Partial credit for unused sessions. After week 3: We’re unable to issue refunds or credits unless in rare cases (e.g., medical).
We do not provide refunds or credits for missed sessions due to personal scheduling conflicts.
We recommend: Comfortable clothes and sneakers Weather-appropriate layers Their Soccer Shots jersey (if they have one!) Water bottle Cleats and shin guards are not required for most programs. They’re optional in Premier programs (ages 5+) where kids explore more advanced skills. Our coaches bring all the cones, goals, and soccer balls. Just bring your child and a water bottle.
