A native of Buffalo, NY, Patrick has played soccer since the age of 5. He played high school soccer at St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute and club soccer with the Buffalo Niagara Soccer Club. He eventually played Division I at Canisius College, where he received a bachelor’s degree in marketing. After graduation, Patrick gained his first youth coaching experience with the Kenton Soccer Club of Buffalo. Patrick has been a part of Soccer Shots for nearly three years. He started as a coach in Binghamton, and soon after became the director of Soccer Shots Syracuse. In addition to directing, he also worked as an assistant coach for the Onondaga Community College men’s soccer team. Patrick is a member of the NSCAA and has his USSF “E” license. Patrick is grateful for the coaches in his life that have shaped him as a player and person. He hopes to help pass on the ideas of sportsmanship, hard work and team play that have been instilled in him throughout the years.
A native of the Binghamton, NY area, James has played soccer since the age of 6. He graduated from Ross Corners Christian Academy, where he played soccer and basketball throughout high school, and where he also got his first taste of coaching. After graduating, he was recruited to attend Davis College in Binghamton to play basketball and soccer there, eventually earning captaincies in both sports. He was a part of Davis’ first two conference championships and first Small Bible College National championship in their history. Before graduating, James joined the Soccer Shots team in 2012 as an instructor. He quickly embraced the exciting opportunities at Soccer Shots to work with kids and have a positive impact on the community for years to come. He holds his USSF E Soccer Coaching certification and is also active in coaching basketball. He resides in Binghamton with his beautiful wife, Andrea, and three children. His coaching and business background will continue to be a great asset to the Soccer Shots Binghamton Team.
Coach Andrew is originally from Long Island but currently lives in Horseheads. He has been coaching with Soccer Shots since Fall 2021 and is now almost over a year into his position as Director of Coaching. In his free time, he enjoys watching sports and taking his dogs for a walk. If he could have any superpower, it would be super speed because he never wants to lose a race! A fun fact is that when he was 13 his family went cross country in an RV for 6 weeks! Coach Andrew is grateful to be at Soccer Shots and have the chance to positively impact lives through soccer and fun!
Coach Daniel grew up in the small town of Woodbury, CT before attending and graduating from Ithaca College where he played for the men's soccer team. He's now been coaching and serving as the Coaching Coordinator with Soccer Shots Binghamton & NEPA since March 2023. In his free time, Coach Daniel likes to cook, run, and hang out with his cat, Marble! One fun fact about Coach Daniel is that he lived in Hong Kong for a couple years when he was a little kid. He's been passionate about soccer for his entire life, so he's extremely grateful for the opportunity to share his love for the game with others!
Hi, my name is Coach Jacob! I grew up in West Caldwell, New Jersey, and started playing soccer when I was 4 years old. I played baseball and basketball as well. I studied Sport Management at Syracuse University, where I realized my passion for youth sports. I enjoy playing sports, hiking, and watching movies in my free time.
Coach Gavin grew up in Vestal, New York and has been a Soccer Shots Coach since Winter of 2023 and has loved every minute of it! If Coach Gavin isn’t on Soccer Island, you’ll most likely find him hanging out with his friends, playing basketball, watching hockey, or playing his guitar! A fun fact about Coach Gavin is that he can play 7 different instruments! Coach Gavin’s favorite part about Soccer Shots is watching the kids faces light up when they learn how to do a move for the first time!
Coach Jared is originally from Long Island but currently lives in Binghamton. He’s been coaching with soccer shots since winter 2022. He loves joking around with kids but in his free time he reads, paints, watches sports, plays with his dog, and of course plays a little video games. Fun fact about coach Jared is that he ran a baking company with his family where he baked every weekend and sold goodies at the fair. Coach Jared feels lucky to be able to have a job where he gets to make kids laugh all day and can’t wait to start the next season!
Coach Zach has been living in the Homer/Cortland area his whole life. He currently works in the Homer school district, and is working on getting his teaching certification! Outside of soccer, Coach Zach also coaches wrestling and practices martial arts! His favorite food is burgers, but loves to try new things whenever possible! He has been working with Soccer Shots since January 2020 and always loves seeing kids play soccer with a smile on their face. Having a positive impact on so many kids is very rewarding.
Coach Fiona is from Long Island, where she coached intramurals for a few years. She is also an alumna of the Brockport Women's Soccer Team. Coach Fiona now lives in Binghamton and is working towards getting her PhD in History at BU. Some of her hobbies include playing soccer, hiking, and reading. If she was a superhero and could have any superpower, she would choose super speed because she loves to race and would want to be able to get anywhere and everywhere super fast! She is excited to work with the program because of the ability to connect with kiddos and have fun while combining her passion for soccer with teaching.
Coach Melina is from Waverly, New York. She recently graduated from Siena College where she played on the women's soccer team. She has been coaching for Soccer Shots since Summer 2024, but before she started working with Soccer Shots, she worked as an elementary school substitute teacher. In her free time, she likes to sing Taylor Swift songs loudly in her bedroom and read books about love. If Coach Melina could have any superpower in the world, it would be teleportation so she wouldn't have to spend money on airplane tickets. She also loves sweets and can't say no to ice cream no matter how hard she tries! Her favorite flavor is Perry's Piece of Cake. Coach Melina is super excited to join Soccer Shots and to share her love for soccer with the youth and show them how fun soccer can be!
Coach Muriel is originally from Westchester County, NY and has played soccer since the age of nine. Besides playing soccer, in her free time she enjoys running, reading a book or baking a sweet treat. If she could have any superpower it would be a photographic memory to make studying much easier! Muriel is eager to continue working with the Soccer Shots community and provide a fun environment for all!
Coach Lilly is from Watkins Glen and still lives there. She volunteered in a Pre-K gym class her senior year of high school, and that's when she knew she loved working with kids! In her free time, Coach Lilly enjoys spending time with her family, playing soccer, and relaxing at the lake! If she could choose one superpower, it would be to fly. Coach Lilly loves working with soccer shots because any small moment in a session can be the highlight of her day. She also enjoys the program because she can make a positive difference in a child's life while sharing her love of the game with them!
Coach Ashely is from Horseheads. She joined the program in the fall of 2024 and has hit the ground running, making great experiences for all her soccer friends! In her free time, Coach Ashley enjoys kayaking and spending time with her 4 dogs. If she could choose a superpower, it would be the ability to fly so she could see everything from the sky! Coach Ashley is excited to be a part of Soccer Shots going forward as she continues to get the chance to work with kids and teach them the game of soccer!
Coach Lindsay grew up in the Ithaca area as a Trumansburg and Cornell graduate. She’s played soccer for many years as a goalkeeper and is excited to get back into coaching after taking a break to start her family. Her son has even participated in Soccer Shots! As a mom, most of her free time is taken by building Legos and forts, playing dress-up, and reading. For the last several Halloweens she has even been various superheroes such as Batman and Gwen aka Ghost Spidey. She’s excited to support both kids and families as they explore this awesome sport.
Coach Paloma is originally from Chicago but is currently in school at Ithaca College for physical therapy. She started working at Soccer Shots in the Spring of 2024 but has been playing soccer for most of her life and has been teaching kids how to swim for more than a year. In her free time, she likes to try new foods and bake. Her favorite things to make are bagels and chocolate chip cookies. A fun fact about her is she has moved over 9 times in her life, including places such as Mexico, Pennsylvania, and now Utah. If she had any superpower it would be to be able to fly so she could travel the world. Coach Paloma is super excited to be given the opportunity at Soccer Shots to teach fundamental life skills through soccer and having fun.
Coach Thomas is originally from Warwick, NY, but is currently attending school at SUNY Cortland. In his free time, Coach Thomas enjoys playing and watching various sports and video games! He has enjoyed playing soccer his whole life and couldn't be more excited to be a part of a program that focuses on teaching kids soccer.
Coach Elizabeth is originally from Lehigh Valley, PA, but currently attends graduate school at Ithaca College. She is studying to be a speech pathologist and has experience working with kids of all ages and ability levels. Coach Elizabeth is passionate about providing a safe and fun environment for kids to learn! In her free time, she likes to run, read, and play the piano. Her favorite food is ice cream (a tie between cookie dough and birthday cake flavors!). She has been playing or coaching soccer since she was a toddler and is now excited to share her lifelong love of the game with young players!
Coach Christine is from New Rochelle, New York, and will be studying engineering at Cornell University. She likes to bake, draw, and play the bass guitar in her free time. If she could have any superpower, it would be to teleport so she could go anywhere. Coach Christine has played soccer since she was five years old and is excited to continue her love for the sport with Soccer Shots!
Coach Priscilla is from the Ithaca area, where she played sports such as soccer and hockey. In her free time, she enjoys playing pickleball and hiking with friends. A fun fact is that she loves cows! Coach Priscilla is thrilled to be a part of the program and can't wait to help young players grow both on and off the field!
