Originally from Baytown, Texas, Coach Mckhenzie grew her love for the game with the Challenge Soccer Club before taking her skills and studies to the University of Houston. While there, she fostered her love for soccer, both as a midfielder for the UH Women’s Soccer team, and as a volunteer coach for local youth clubs. Shortly after college, Coach Mckhenzie joined Soccer Shots Houston as a coach and Program Director, combining her passion for working with children and her love of the game. Coach Mckhenzie has since relocated to the DFW area, and is excited to continue to bring the same culture and passion to the All-Stars in Dallas and surrounding areas! In her spare time, Coach Mckhenzie enjoys spending time with her husband, discovering the city’s best cheeseburgers, and finding new fishing spots!
All the way from Long Beach, California, Coach Daria is still relatively new to the DFW area and is excited about helping impact the All-Stars in the area! Her personal soccer career started at the age of seven and her dedication and hard work eventually earned her a spot on the San Jose State women’s soccer team. She later transferred to the University of North Texas and earned her B.S. in Kinesiology! In her free time, she can be found going out with her friends and family to try new restaurants around DFW or watching and supporting just about any California sports teams!
Coach Morgan grew up just outside of Dallas in Frisco, TX, and began her soccer career at the age of three. She grew her love for the game with the Texans ECNL team ultimately landing a spot on the McNeese State Women’s soccer team where she also received her Masters in Exercise Physiology. Outside of soccer island you can find Coach Morgan spending time with friends, crafting, and trying to find the best coffee in the Dallas area!
Coach Zach is from Little Rock, Arkansas but now calls Texas home. He graduated from Stephen F. Austin with a bachelor’s degree in communications. Zach finds joy in serving kiddos and families in the DFW area. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter and trout fishing!
Born and raised in the Ft. Worth area, Coach Kaleb is passionate about providing a beloved growth experience to every child through sports! After coaching his younger brother’s soccer team, Coach K realized how much he enjoyed interacting with the kiddos and eventually found himself dedicating his time to the All-Stars of Soccer Shots DFW! When he’s not on the field, you can find him playing cards with his family and friends, working out and staying active, or working on his moves at the MMA gym!
Originally from Norway, Michigan, Coach Dane graduated from Northern Michigan University with his Bachelors of Science and spent time on the men’s soccer roster before finding his way to the Dallas area. He has coached for various club soccer programs back home in Michigan, and is now excited to be a part of preparing the next generation of future soccer players in DFW! Coach Dane’s favorite team to cheer on is Manchester United, and he hopes to one day to travel to England to cheer them on in person. Ask Coach Dane’s about his super secret hidden talent – playing the piano!
Originally from Arlington, Coach Carlos is the youngest of 3 siblings. He joins Soccer Shots DFW in hopes to be able to teach younger children the sport he grew up loving. His favorite professional soccer team is FC Barcelona and he hopes to one day be able to visit Spain and Italy! Outside of soccer island, he enjoys hiking and traveling. Coach Carlos can also speak Spanish fluently, play the guitar and enjoys gardening.
Coach Adama brings so much joy to her All-Stars each week! Originally from Sachse, she is currently attending the University of North Texas and pursuing a career in Physical Therapy. She has played competitive soccer for the majority of her life, and believes that Soccer Shots is the perfect mix of positively impacting children and teaching them the fundamentals of the game. Coach Adama has three brothers, and a “cute” grandma that she enjoys hanging out with when not on Soccer Island! She can also frequently be found reading, baking or eating at her favorite spot, Grand Lux Cafe.
Coach Alberto grew up just north of Dallas in Plano, TX, as the middle child with his two siblings! He began playing soccer at the age of two, and has been involved in the game ever since with local club teams. Eventually, his skill and hard work earned him the Captain position on his college team at Southwest Baptist University where he earned his B.S. in Exercise Science. Now that he’s returned to the Dallas area, Coach Alberto is excited to continue to grow the sport and help instill life skills through the game of soccer! Coach Alberto is also fluent in Spanish, and enjoys cheering on his favorite team (FC Barcelona) or painting in his spare time.
Joining Soccer Shots from Longview, Texas, Coach Yazmin’s soccer career started at the age of 5 years old and her love for the game took her to play 4 years in college at Lyon College. There, she received her bachelors degree in Psychology and is now currently going to grad school at UNT at Dallas to get her master’s degree in counseling! Coach Yazmin enjoys running in her free time and her favorite snack to eat is popcorn! She also hopes to one day be able mark traveling to France off her bucket list!
Originally from Manila, Philippines Coach Josh now resides in Euless, Texas. He joins Soccer Shots DFW because he wants to stay involved in the sport of soccer and teach the next generation of players. Coach Josh attended an international Academy in England where he started playing soccer at the age of 8. He graduated from York College with a Bachelors in Sport and Exercise Science and hopes to continue working in the sports industry. He also hopes to be able to also travel to every continent! Ask Coach Josh about his secret talent: playing the violin!
Coach Edgar is from Dallas, Texas and joins Soccer Shots DFW because of the challenge and wanting to see the kiddos grow skills wise and as people. Coach Edgar has played soccer ever since a young age and one day hopes to start a soccer business of some kind or become a coach at the higher level. Outside of soccer island, Coach Edgar enjoys playing all sports, video games, and drawing. One thing on his bucket list: sky diving!
Coach Demian is originally from Dallas, TX and join Soccer Shots DFW to help teach the kiddos the sport he loves so much. He has played soccer all his life and hopes to one day be able to become a certified professional coach. Outside of Soccer Island, Coach Demian enjoys going to the gym, writing, and cooking. One fun fact about Coach Demian is that he is bilingual and fluent in Spanish!
Coach Luis is originally from San Antonio, Texas and joins Soccer Shots DFW to give back what he’s been taught and to help others love the game of soccer like he does! Coach Luis has played soccer his whole life including club, high school, and college. He plans to achieve a Bachelor’s degree in Audio Engineering. Outside of Soccer Island, Coach Luis is a DJ who does weddings, birthdays, and other events and also has played the piano since he was 8 years old! One thing on his bucket list: watch Arsenal play in London!
Coach Russ, also known as Coach Brandon is originally from McKinney, Texas. He attended Princeton HS where he played soccer all 4 years and later then went to play collegiate soccer at Paul Quinn College. Coach Russ join Soccer Shots DFW as he believes in our vision to make Soccer Shots Day, every child’s favorite day! Outside of Soccer Island, he enjoys playing video games, art, and comics. One day in the future, he even plans to have his own clothing brand!
Originally from Bangladesh, Coach Abdur joins Soccer Shots DFW for the interest of wanting to teach kids. He currently attends UNT, where he plans to get his degree and open a personal PT clinic to help athletes! He has experience coaching wrestling and track and wants to expand now to soccer! He speaks 4 different languages and one day hopes to be able to drive a Formula car.
Coach Conner is originally from Plano, Texas and joins Soccer Shots DFW to be a mentor and teach kids about soccer at a young age. He currently attends Collin College’s Technical Campus to further his knowledge in welding, as he hopes to go into a welding career. Coach Conner has played soccer since he was 3 years old and his favorite soccer team is Manchester United. One thing on his bucket list is to go to England and watch them play live at Old Trafford!
Coach Marissa is from Forney, Texas and currently attends the University of North Texas studying Environmental Science. She joins Soccer Shots DFW as she loves playing soccer and wants to share her passion and love for the game to the new generation. Outside of Soccer Island, Coach Marissa likes to read and is also on the UNT Women’s Soccer Club! She is fluent in Spanish and her favorite soccer team is FC Barcelona.
Coach Luis is originally from San Jose, California and joins Soccer Shots DFW to share the love and passion he has for soccer to the kiddos. He attended Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts and is passionate about focusing on his coaching career. Outside of Soccer Island, he enjoys running and going to the gym. One thing on his bucket list? Travel to Japan!
Originally from Venezuela, Coach Jose joins Soccer Shots DFW because soccer is his passion and in the future, would one day love to coach at a high level. All of Coach Jose’s family is still in Venezuela and he has played soccer since he was 5 years old! His favorite soccer team is Real Madrid and outside of Soccer Island, Coach Jose likes biking, swimming, watching soccer and also watching F1. One thing on his bucket list? To Drive a F1 car!
