Born and raised in Mississauga, followed by living in the Halton Region for nearly 14 years, Todd is a true native of the Halton/Peel Region. A former CPGA Golf Professional, Todd was heavily involved in developing and teaching junior golfers at two different golf courses. Following a successful tenure as a golf instructor, Todd participated in the growth and development of two separate start-up companies before joining forces with lifelong friends to open the first Soccer Shots franchise in Ontario. Todd’s love of coaching and teaching children has been a constant throughout his life and he has most recently been heavily involved in coaching rep hockey in Cambridge. Bringing Soccer Shots to Ontario has been an incredible opportunity for Todd to enrich the lives of children throughout the Halton Region. Introducing a youth soccer program that not only equips children with soccer skills but also builds confidence and character has been a truly rewarding experience for Todd and the rest of the Soccer Shots Halton | West Mississauga Team.
Coach Ola was born in Mississauga and raised in Cambridge. Ola began playing soccer at the age of 4 and continued to play all the way through to high school, where she was a member of her high school varsity team. She is currently attending the University of Guelph and is studying Child Studies with the goal of one day becoming a kindergarten teacher. Ola is excited to be working with the wonderful team at Soccer Shots and looks forward to making a positive impact on her soccer friends by helping them develop both on and off the field. Coach Ola cannot wait to meet everyone on Soccer Island!
Coach Bonnie was born and raised in the GTA. She was a natural athlete from a young age, but soccer was her first love. Her father was a semi pro player in Toronto since she was baby. Soccer was in her blood and came naturally to her. By the time she was 10 years old she was playing rep soccer. She played for competive and showcase teams in GTA and Halton Hill region until she was a young adult, playing all over the United States and Canada. Injury lead Coach Bonnie to take a break from soccer, but she was back at it when she attended Humber College to obtain her Culinary Management Diploma. Bonnie played and Captained the Women's Humber Soccer Team and had great success and memories of that time stay close to her heart even today. Coach Bonnie continued playing recreational soccer and being a catering chef as well as cooking and working in various daycare programs. She is married to soccer crazy Chilean who shares her love of soccer and is a mother of two, Lucas and Victoria. Coach B
Born in Mississauga and raised in Georgetown, sports have always been a big part of my life. I played soccer until the age of 12 when I decided to focus on my hockey career. Hockey helped me receive post-secondary education as I received a scholarship at Wilfred Laurier University. Now Coach Hannah attends George Brown for Sport & Events Marketing. I love the opportunity to be a coach now and help the young athletes become the best they can be on and off soccer island!
Born in Mississauga, Ontario Canada in 2001. Mitchell Nunes is currently working towards getting hisadvanced diploma in Sport Management at Humber College. Mitchell have been involve in soccer since he wasyoung when he first started at the age of 8 and been actively involve in the sport ever since. Growing up,Mitchell have participated in sport organization like NMSC and Mississauga Falcons where he played in house league. Besides his participation in house-league he took part of tournament when he was younger learning what it's like to play in a competitive environment. Outside of his life of soccer, Mitchell have been actively involved in other sports during high school where he join the cross country and track & field team throughout his four year. He is looking forward to work with the kids and the team at Soccer Shots where he can teach the kids the same way soccer was taught to him and to give back to the community.
Coach Brendan was born and raised in Mississauga and grew up playing any sport he could think of. He spent 15 years playing house league soccer and rep hockey, and due to his love for sports, he ended up studying Recreation and Leisure at Brock University. Brendan has spent multiple years as a hockey coach and a camp counsellor and is looking forward to this new opportunity to coach soccer and provide the best possible experience for the children at Soccer Shots.
Coach Anissa is currently a grade 12 student with hopes of pursuing a commerce degree in 2024. Raised in Oakville, she has been playing soccer since she was 4 years old, both in house league and competitively at the Oakville Soccer Club. She has always loved the game, and discovered a passion for working with children after volunteering at soccer summer camps. Aside from her athletic involvement, Coach Anissa adores theatre and the art of performance, as well as staying involved in her local community. She looks forward to helping everyone on Soccer Island develop their skills and have fun!
Born and raised in Brampton, Coach Nimer is a soccer and basketball fanatic. With her team, Coach Nimer went on to win a gold medal with the Senior Girls Basketball team in ROPSAA during highschool. She also played soccer throughout middle school and highschool. She currently attends McMaster University, where she is studying Biology and Mathematics. Her hope is to use her knowledge to help keep the Earth clean and green. While at Soccer Shots Coach Nimer hopes to pass down her passion for sports and active living with all of our soccer shots friends!
Coach Laiba, is a competitive soccer player, born and raised in Toronto. She grew up a hockey player along with her three brothers until she reached high school. Coach Laiba attended Louise Arbour SS and was on multiple varsity teams, including Soccer, Basketball, Softball, and Flag Football. In her junior year, she began her competitive soccer journey under Brams United Soccer Club. Laiba has had experience coaching under Brams United and the Malton Mavericks Soccer Academy where she is currently a member. Coach Laiba is extremely passionate about her job and hopes to help kids achieve their dreams on Soccer Island!
Coach Amber is currently a grade 12 student with the hopes of pursuing an architectural design degree in 2024. Amber was raised in Oakville and has been playing soccer ever since she was 6 years old at the Oakville Soccer Club. She discovered her passion for working with children after working and coaching at camps in the summer. Coach Amber also did hip-hop dance for 7 years and adores sewing and decorating cakes. She is thrilled to help everyone on Soccer Island learn new fun skills and looks forward to seeing her soccer friends become the best players Soccer Shots has ever seen!
