Where are Soccer Shots programs offered?

FAQ image

Soccer Shots is held at childcare centers, preschool and schools, as well as public locations. Our public programs are open to the general public while our childcare center and school programs are only open to those enrolled at the location.

What can I expect from a Soccer Shots class?

FAQ image

Our weekly 30-45 minute classes focus on basic soccer skills like dribbling, passing and shooting. Through fun games and positive reinforcement, children begin to experience the joy of playing soccer and being active. We also highlight a positive character trait each class such as respect, confidence and determination.

What equipment will my child need to participate?

FAQ image

Soccer Shots provides all of the equipment necessary at each of our classes. Your child should wear activity-appropriate clothing. Cleats and shin guards are NOT necessary.

How does Soccer Shots make weather-related decisions, and how do we know if class is on?

FAQ image

We believe that every All-Star wakes up excited to play with us on Soccer Island, so Soccer Shots is always ON unless you hear from us. This means that we often wait to decide until close to class time, as the weather in Houston passes quickly and can be quite different from one part of the city to another. If we need to cancel, you will receive a text and/or email as soon as we make the decision.

How does Soccer Shots handle make-ups?

FAQ image

Soccer Shots saves 1 week at the end of our summer season and 2 weeks at the end of our Spring and Fall seasons for make-up classes. In the event of a class cancelation for any reason, we’ll notify you by email about the make-up date. We only run the make-up class if we’ve had a cancelation. For anything beyond those make-up options, we do not provide refunds. Instead, we offer the option for you to choose any other public/park option with availability for an additional make-up. Just notify us what class you’d like to attend, we’ll confirm availability and notify our coach of your participation, and you’re all set!

Does Soccer Shots offer refunds?

FAQ image

Yes. At heart, Soccer Shots Houston aims to deliver a beloved growth experience for every child and a remarkable experience for every family. If you and your child are not positively impacted by your Soccer Shots experience, we offer a refund or credit for any future season.

Will my child get a Soccer Shots jersey?

FAQ image

If you enroll your child in Soccer Shots to participate in anywhere from one to multiple seasons of Soccer Shots throughout a year, your child will receive a youth jersey. Youth jerseys are distributed one time per year and are included in the cost of enrollment, regardless of the number of seasons you sign your child up for within that year. Jerseys are distributed via mail and addressed to the child. You will receive tracking information once the jersey has shipped to your address. Please understand that if you enroll within two weeks of the season start date, your child is not guaranteed to receive their jersey before the first session. Should you have any questions about your child’s youth jersey shipment, or if you would like to exchange sizes, please [email protected]. Please note, some Soccer Shots programs do not include jerseys, such as birthday parties, demos, free play days and school-paid sessions.

How do I exchange or return a Soccer Shots jersey?

FAQ image

If you need to exchange your child’s jersey for a different size, please contact [email protected]. Please provide your name, your child’s name, your shipping address, the size you received and the size you are requesting. You will receive a response within 1 business day that will include a prepaid return label. Please return your jersey as soon as possible. After we receive confirmation that the jersey has shipped, we will send you your requested exchange jersey. Please note, jerseys must be in new condition with the tag still attached to be accepted as a return.

How do I know how my child is doing in a Childcare Center/Preschool class?

FAQ image

This is one of the most common questions we get. Here’s what we offer: we send a mid-season progress report home with your child that gives a brief overview of how they are doing in class. We also provide an end-of-season certificate that highlights your child's progress in our class. Further, you are always welcome to come watch your child play if you confirm your attendance with the school before you arrive. If you are curious to know how your child is doing beyond our progress report and certificate, please reach out to us by phone or email and we’re happy to reach out to your coach for an All-Star update!

Does Soccer Shots provide photos or videos during the season?

FAQ image

No. Our coaches are passionate about positively impacting children's lives. While we understand the desire for photos and videos of your child's progress, we focus our full and undivided attention on each class of children to deliver on our promise of engagement, leadership, positive guidance and growth.
