A native of Buffalo, NY, Patrick has played soccer since the age of 5. He played high school soccer at St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute and club soccer with the Buffalo Niagara Soccer Club. He eventually played Division I at Canisius College, where he received a bachelor’s degree in marketing. After graduation, Patrick gained his first youth coaching experience with the Kenton Soccer Club of Buffalo. Patrick has been a part of Soccer Shots for nearly three years. He started as a coach in Binghamton, and soon after became the director of Soccer Shots Syracuse. In addition to directing, he also worked as an assistant coach for the Onondaga Community College men’s soccer team. Patrick is a member of the NSCAA and has his USSF “E” license. Patrick is grateful for the coaches in his life that have shaped him as a player and person. He hopes to help pass on the ideas of sportsmanship, hard work and team play that have been instilled in him throughout the years.
A native of the Binghamton, NY area, James has played soccer since the age of 6. He graduated from Ross Corners Christian Academy, where he played soccer and basketball throughout high school, and where he also got his first taste of coaching. After graduating, he was recruited to attend Davis College in Binghamton to play basketball and soccer there, eventually earning captaincies in both sports. He was a part of Davis’ first two conference championships and first Small Bible College National championship in their history. Before graduating, James joined the Soccer Shots team in 2012 as an instructor. He quickly embraced the exciting opportunities at Soccer Shots to work with kids and have a positive impact on the community for years to come. He holds his USSF E Soccer Coaching certification and is also active in coaching basketball. He resides in Binghamton with his beautiful wife, Andrea, and three children. His coaching and business background will continue to be a great asset to the Soccer Shots Binghamton Team.
Hi, my name is Coach Jacob! I grew up in West Caldwell, New Jersey, and started playing soccer when I was 4 years old. I played baseball and basketball as well. I studied Sport Management at Syracuse University, where I realized my passion for youth sports. I enjoy playing sports, hiking, and watching movies in my free time.
Coach Alyssa grew up in Northeastern Pennsylvania and is happy to be back! She has been coaching with Soccer Shots since the Fall of 2022. When she is not on Soccer Island or in the classroom, she loves spending time with her family and friends, taking her dog for a walk,going to the beach, watching sports and of course shopping. Coach Alyssa would have to say that she has 2 favorite foods. She cannot live without Ice Cream or Pizza! Her favorite part about Soccer shots is that it allows children to develop the fundamentals, not only to be a great soccer player, but also a great teammate. Working for Soccer Shots has allowed her to share her passion for soccer with our players and fellow coaches. Being able to connect with her players on and off soccer island is another favorite part of hers. To sum it all up, seeing the smiling faces having fun playing soccer is probably her favorite part!
Coach Ciara is originally from a small town in Maryland, but currently lives near Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania. She has played soccer since she was in second grade all the way through college! When Coach Ciara is not at soccer she is teaching preschool. In her free time she likes to take walks in the park. Her favorite food is anything with buffalo sauce! A fun fact about Coach Ciara is that she can make a great elephant noise (ask her to do it on Soccer Island and stomp like elephants!). She is very excited to meet your kiddos and help lay the foundation for their entire career through learning new soccer skills!
Coach Emily is originally from Central PA but now lives in Scranton. She joined Soccer Shots during the 2023 spring season. In her free time, Coach Emily enjoys collecting coins and learning about other cultures and their histories. If she had a superpower, she would choose teleportation so she could go anywhere in the world! Coach Emily is excited to work with the program because she enjoys seeing all her soccer friends develop their confidence and skills throughout the season!
Coach Olivia is originally from Milford but currently lives in Scranton. She has been coaching with Soccer Shots since Spring 2023 but has been coaching soccer since she was 16. In her free time, she enjoys hanging out with here friends and family, as well as reading and baking. If she could have any superpower, it would be flying so she could go wherever she wants without needing a car! Her favorite food is pasta because you can eat it with so many other delicious foods and sauces! A fun fact is that she has been to 8 different countries! Coach Olivia is grateful to be at Soccer Shots and to get the opportunity to see all the soccer friends she gets to coach grow into amazing kids and soccer players!
Coach Justine, also known as "Coach Mak," is originally from Albany, NY, but now lives in Scranton. Currently, she works as a nanny, but when she is not working or on Soccer Island, she is usually playing pickleball or hosting game nights. Coach Mak joined the program in the fall of 2023 and has loved helping kids learn how to play soccer!
Coach Frankie is from Long Island, NY, and is a second-year physical therapist student at the University of Scranton. She has been coaching since the Fall of 2023. In her free time, she enjoys playing pickleball & soccer with her friends, staying active, and reading! A fun fact about her is that Coach Frankie and her brother are 9 years apart. Being an older sister has always made it easier for her to engage with the kiddos! Her favorite food is Caesar salad. If she could have one superpower, it would be to be invisible! Her favorite part about Soccer Shots is teaching the younger population about soccer skills in a fun and energetic way!
Coach Ashley is originally from New Jersey but currently lives in Peckville, Pennsylvania. She has been playing soccer since she was 3 years old and went on to play throughout high school, college, and even in some adult soccer leagues. Coach Ashely enjoys spending time with family and friends or reading books in her free time! Her favorite food is pizza, but not the old forge kind she says New York style is the best! The skills the kids learn in this program go way beyond soccer. Her favorite part of soccer shots is seeing kids excited to learn new skills and important values, all while having fun!
Coach Makayla is originally and currently living in the tunkhannock area and has been with Soccer Shots since the winter of 2023. She attends Keystone college and although she originally played basketball there, this year she is playing soccer! In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and her cat S’more, as well as going shopping. If Coach Makayla could have any superpower, she would want to be able to teleport so she could go to the beach whenever she wanted! A cool fun fact is, when she was 16 her family went on a cruise, and she got to swim with dolphins! Coach Makayla is excited to work at Soccer Shots and be afforded the opportunity to connect with kids of all different backgrounds and to have fun and learn new things every day!
Coach Becca is originally from New Jersey. However, she currently lives in Scranton, Pennsylvania. She played soccer when she was young and then again while in college. She has been working with kids for almost 5 years now. Before joining the Soccer Shots team, she taught kids how to swim! In her free time, she enjoys going to the gym, and in the winter, she enjoys being able to hit the slopes and ski! Her biggest hobby right now is being a competitive powerlifter, she has been competing for 2 years. Her favorite food is a burger and french fries, homemade is the best but her go to fast food burger is five guys. She is excited to work with our program because she loves watching the kids come back and grow within the Soccer Shots program!
Coach Lily is from Nanticoke and has been coaching with Soccer Shots since Spring 2024. She is currently a senior at Misericordia working towards her degree in Early Childhood Education to become a K-5 teacher. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family and being outdoors. A fun fact about Coach Lily is that she has a mini pumpkin patch in her backyard! Coach Lily is excited to build connections and positively impact lives through soccer!
Coach Corbin is from Pittston City and currently attends Misericordia University. He grew up playing soccer and has been with Soccer Shots since the Spring. In his free time, he enjoys going to the movies and having game nights with his buddies. If he could have any superpower, he would choose super speed so he could get his schoolwork done faster! Coach Corbin is thankful for Soccer Shots and the opportunity to help kids on their soccer journey!
Coach Josh is from Kingston, Pennsylvania, where he currently lives. When it comes to sports, he has been involved in some way his whole life, including some college experience in both baseball and soccer. Coach Josh has also coached the seventh and eighth-grade soccer teams at Bear Creek Community Charter School. In his free time, he loves to go to the gym, cook, travel, and see new places. If he had to pick a superhero power, it would definitely be the ability to fly so he could get everywhere very fast. Coach Josh is excited to work with Soccer Shots to provide his soccer knowledge to all of the children while seeing the enjoyment on their faces, making the game as fun as possible for them, and connecting and getting to know their parents.
