Evan has played professional soccer for six years with both the Richmond and Charlotte pro teams. He’s a seasoned coach at all levels of soccer and has worked with hundreds of youth players as a Soccer Shots instructor. Evan is passionate about using soccer to develop and work with children of all ages.
Coach Jason has been instructing youth soccer of all ages for many years and serves as our Director of Operations. He absolutely loves soccer and began playing when he was three years old. After playing soccer in college at Penn State, he played seven years of professional soccer in the MLS for FC Dallas and in the USL for the Pittsburgh Riverhounds and Richmond Kickers. Jason and his wife Carter have three kids – Beau, Ellie, and Sydney.
Coach Andrew has played soccer for the past 20 years. He grew up in Richmond playing for the Kickers and he continued to play collegiate soccer at VCU while earning his master’s degree. A seasoned veteran coach, he is a long-standing member of the Soccer Shots Team and serves as our Director of Coaching. When not coaching, Andrew loves spending time with his wife and two young daughters.
Coach Brynn grew up in Richmond and attended the University of Virginia where she received her master’s in Elementary Education. Brynn played soccer her entire childhood and started coaching for Soccer Shots in high school. After coaching and coordinating programs for over 6 years, she now serves as our Program Director. When not playing soccer, Coach Brynn loves cheering on the Hoos and visiting Lake Michigan with family!
Coach James is from Manassas, Virginia, where he grew up playing soccer. He moved to Richmond to attend VCU where he graduated with a bachelor’s in fashion marketing. He has coached for Soccer Shots for 5 years and loves to make a difference in kids’ lives! He is an avid Arsenal fan and loves his Mustang race-car!
Coach Isaiah is from Staunton, Virginia, and moved to Richmond to attend VCU. He studied Spanish and Political Science at Virginia Commonwealth University. He started playing soccer at a young age and played through high school while winning two state championships. Playing soccer with his friends and traveling with his family are his favorite pastimes. Coming from a family that organized weekly pick-up games, Isaiah sees it as an honor to teach and share the beautiful sport of soccer to children in the Richmond area.
Coach Skinner has 17 years of soccer experience between his time as a player, coach, and referee. Skinner was also the Assistant Youth Sports Coordinator with the Chickahominy YMCA when he was 17 years old. Skinner loves soccer and has 8 seasons under his belt as a certified referee with the United States Soccer Federation. In his free time, Coach Skinner likes to build and fix computers.
Coach Caroline grew up in Richmond, VA and has been playing soccer since she was 4 years old. She studied athletic training at the University of South Carolina and worked as the athletic trainer with New Mexico State University’s women’s soccer team before moving back to Richmond. In her free time, she enjoys playing pickup soccer, exploring new places, and creating art.
Soccer Shots half-day camps (9am-12pm) utilize creative and imaginative games to provide children with the opportunity to develop basic soccer skills, positive character traits, and creativity. Fun activities aimed at this summer's theme include soccer games and a variety of other age-appropriate options such as crafts, team-building exercises, snack time, and even literature.

Ready to take your child's soccer game to the next level? The Soccer Shots League provides a fun and competitive environment for players aged 5-8 to hone their technical and tactical skills, like dribbling, passing, and shooting. But that's not all! Players will also develop essential life skills like communication, sportsmanship, and leadership through weekly 4v4 matches. Let them learn, grow, and have a blast with Soccer Shots League!
