Hello Friends! I’m Coach Emmalene! I grew up surrounded by sports and from a young age, soccer has been a big part of my sports journey. I played recreational and rep soccer in both Kitchener and Waterloo from the age of 3 until I was 18. I have worked with children in several settings; as a camp volunteer and counselor, volleyball coach, and field hockey coach. I am passionate about helping children to learn and grow through physical activity and sports! Currently, I am studying Kinesiology at Wilfrid Laurier University, where I am also a member of the Women’s Field Hockey Team. I can’t wait to share my love of soccer and meet you all on Soccer Island!

Hello Friends! My name is Coach Ashleigh! I have played soccer all my life, and have learned lots of important skills that have helped me coach younger children! Coaching with Soccer Shots has opened my eyes to new opportunities. I now aspire to be an elementary school teacher someday. I have so much fun every time I get to coach with the kids. I'm looking forward to meeting everyone on Soccer Island!

Hello Friends! My name is Coach Matt. I was born and raised in Cambridge, ON. I have always enjoyed being active and participating in sports, namely soccer, swimming, biking and cross country. I have a variety of work experience, majority of it consists of lifeguarding, and teaching swimming lessons. Since completing my post secondary education at Brock University, I have transitioned to become a Registered Kinesiologist. I have been with Soccer Shots since the fall of 2021 and I love it because I am always thrilled to witness the unique impact our lessons have on every child's character development and am impressed by the improvement of in their motor skills. My favourite part of Soccer Shots are the themes embedded into the curriculum because it enabled and encourages youth to express their own creativity while keeping them engaged in a fun way! Hello Friends! My name is Coach Jordan and I was born in Brantford and raised in Cambridge. I have been playing soccer since I was 4 years old and I played for multiple competitive teams. I currently work here at soccer shots and will be taking a year off in school until I move into firefighting at Conestoga College! I love working with kids because they bring lots of positivity and I enjoy making them happy! Playing soccer has taught me about teamwork and collaboration skills. My favorite game to play at soccer shots is freeze tag! I'm so excited to meet everyone on Soccer Island!

Hello Friends! My name is Coach Lauren and I was born and raised in Oakville, ON. I have been playing soccer since I was four years old and I played organized soccer for about ten years! I recently graduated from the University of Guelph with a degree in Criminal Justice and Public Policy. I love working with kids because it’s rewarding and super fun, I especially like laughing with them! Playing soccer has taught me sportsmanship and the importance of trying your best. My favorite sports to play currently are badminton and sailing! I'm looking forward to meeting you all on Soccer Island!

Hello friends! I’m Coach Mike! I was born in Windsor and grew up in Cambridge. I’ve been a sports guy all my life and have played and coached hockey, baseball, football, and of course SOCCER! I’m a father with young kids and have had the chance to coach their soccer teams, experiencing firsthand the fun of and excitement of it all. The Soccer Shots curriculum has proven to me just how capable young children can be when encouraged and engaged! It’s not just a soccer practice, it’s a life character and confidence-building program! I love seeing the excited and happy faces week after week, and I can’t wait to see everyone on Soccer Island!

Hello Friends! My name is Coach Rocky, I was born and raised in Kitchener and Waterloo! I started playing soccer when I was 5 years old and I continue to play competitively and recreationally! I studied and graduated from Conestoga College with a diploma in Occupational and Physiotherapy Assistance. I am currently working as a Youth Soccer Coach with Soccer Shots, and I am a co-owner of "Mindful You" at the St. Jacobs Farmers Market. I love working with kids because I love learning from their wonder and curiosity as well as sharing my passion for soccer! Playing soccer has taught me the importance of teamwork, communication, and respect. My favorite games to play are, “What Time Is It Mr. Wolf?” and scrimmaging! I'm looking forward to meeting you on Soccer Island!

Hi soccer friends! I'm Coach Nico! I work at St Mary's Hospital as a Physiotherapist Assistant. I have played soccer throughout my childhood and I now do soccer freestyle professionally. I am currently ranked 6th in Canada! Ask me to show you some tricks! I love Soccer Shots because we get to be ourselves on soccer Island while making new friends.
